New Cancellation and No-Show Policy (Effective October 31)

Due to recent policy changes, we are now required by some of our golf courses to provide a guaranteed fixed headcount by the Friday prior to the tournament date. This headcount represents the minimum number of tee times we must pay for, regardless of the actual number of players who show up. Our club’s previous flexible cancellation policy has led to us incurring costs for unused tee times. As we operate on a break-even basis, we cannot continue to absorb these costs. In addition, many of our members have been signing up for all tournaments and cancelling late or not at all. The following policy changes aim to address this issue:

Signups and Withdrawals:

1. Signups will close at 8:00 AM on the Friday prior to the tournament.

2. You may withdraw from a tournament without consequence until 8:00 AM on the Friday prior to the tournament. This allows sufficient time to finalize pairings and submit them to the course.

Late Cancellations and No Shows:

1. Drop requests submitted after 8:00 AM on Friday will incur a $20.00 Late Cancellation Fee. All No Shows, regardless of the reason, will also incur the $20 late fee.

2. However, if the golf course charges the club for unfilled slots, then you will instead be required to pay the full tournament fee (minus the $3 prize fund contribution).

Payment and Suspension:

1. Your playing privileges will be suspended if these assessments are not paid in a timely manner.
