  ' 1 2 3 This is a four-man team format.
1 net best balls on holes 1-6
2 best net balls on holes 7-12
3 net best balls on holes 13-18
Alternate shots This is a two-man team format with cart partners as a team.
The team members will choose who will hit the drive on the first hole, the other team member will tee off on the next hole and they will continue to alternate from then on.
The team member that didn't tee off will hit the second shot.  They will continue alternate shots until the ball is holed out.   The alternate player will tee off on the following hole, even if they hit the last putt.

Remember to record the Gross team score, not the Net Score.

The team handicap is the average of the two players course handicaps.  (Their total NCGA index adjusted by the course slope.)

Both players will need to hit tee shots on the two closest to the pin holes, but only the shot by the player scheduled to hit on this hole can be used for scoring purposes.
Captain Player #1 is captain on holes 1,5,9,13 and 17.
Player 2 is  captain on holes 2,6,10,14, and 18.
Player #3 is captain on holes # 3,7,11, and 15.
Player #4 is  captain on holes 4, 8, 12, and 16.

The captain hits first then observes the drives of each player and considers the quality of the drive and his handicap on the hole.  He makes his choice of which players score will count as one of the two scores on the hole (the Captains score is automatically part of the two net scores) Total team score is the Captains and the chosen golfer.

THE SELECTION PROCESS   Captain can choose the second player after his tee shot and prior to the third player teeing off.  Captain can choose the third player after his tee shot and prior to the forth player teeing off.  If captain does not choose either the second or third player to be the "contributor" to the team score, the fourth player to tee off on that hole is automatically the second score for the team.
Cha Cha Cha The Team Score is recorded as follows:
     Best single net score on holes 1, 4, 7, 10, 13 & 16.
     Best two net scores on holes 2, 5, 8, 11, 14 & 17.
     Best three net scores on holes 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 & 18.
Colored ball plus other lowest net score Colored Ball is four man two best ball game.
   Player #1 has the colored ball on holes 1, 5, 9, 13, 17.
   Player #2 has it on holes 2, 6, 10, 14, and 18.
   Player #3 has it on holes 3, 7, 11, and 15.
   Player #4 has it on holes 4, 8, 12, and 16.

The net score of the player using the colored ball and the next low net score is combined to form the team score.

If you lose the colored ball, a two-stroke penalty will be added to your team score. Return the colored ball at the end of the round.

Making the player, who lost the ball buy drinks, is at the discretion of the team.

Dick's Game The game is a 4 man scramble.
Three drives are required from each player.

Each foursome starts by playing the white (forward) tees. If the team's net score on the hole is bogey, all four hit from the forward tee (forward of the white tees) If foursome's score is net birdie all four players hit from the closest tee behind the white tees. Players move back and forth depending on net score on the previous hole. If your foursome nets a birdie from the first tee to the rear of the white tee, they move to the "tips" (the black tees) and everyone tees off from there.

Jack Hoppe Memorial Club Championship The field will be equally divided into four flights based upon the number of entries.
All player compete in the initial round with the winner of each flight advancing
to the semi-final round. The semi-final and final rounds will be TBD competition.
The Flight A winner will play the Flight D winner.
The Flight B winner will play the Flight C winner.
The two semi-final winners will then meet for the Club Championship the following week.
Jokers Wild Joker's Wild starts with the members of each 4-person team being designated one of the four card suits (heart, diamond, spade, club). This is done randomly, with suit not related to playing ability. Once each player on the team knows his/her suit, players tee off and play the first hole. In the cup of the hole being played there will be a sign displaying two card suits. If, for example, a club and a spade are displayed, then the scores used on that hole by the players designated club and spade are combined for the team score. It's also possible that one suit will be displayed twice; i.e., two diamonds. In that case, the diamond player's score is doubled to count as the team score. So where does the joker come into play in Joker's Wild? Any of the cards used in the cups or on the teeing grounds can be a joker. And when a joker shows up, the team gets to use the lowest of its four golfers' scores.
Lone Wolf The Team Score is recorded as follows:
• Use Player 1’s net score on holes 1, 5, 10 & 14 + the 2 low net scores of the other 3 players.
• Use Player 2’s net score on holes 2, 6, 11 & 15 + the 2 low net scores of the other 3 players.
• Use Player 3’s net score on holes 3, 7, 12 & 16 + the 2 low net scores of the other 3 players
• Use Player 4’s net score on holes 4, 8, 13 & 17 + The 2 low net scores of the other 3 players
• Use the 3 low net scores of the team on holes 9 & 18.
Medal Play Individual Play. Your Net score is used to determine winners by flights.
Mix and Match This is the lowest 9 NET holes out of the 18 played, but must include 2 par 3's, 5 par 4's and 2 par 5's.
Modified Medal Play The game is played in three flights
• Flight 1; Course handicap 0 to 20
• Flight 2; Course handicap 20 to 30
• Flight 3; Course handicap 31 and above

Keep your gross score as normal.
Your final Tournament Score will be your total net score after throwing out your worst front and back nine score. Deduct worst holes based only on relation to par. ( For example, a 5 on a par 3 is worse than a 6 on a par 5). On scorecard, circle holes that you are deducting.

Add the 8 best front and back nine scores together; this is your Modified Total Score. Subtract the Course Handicap (CRS HDP) from the Modified Total Score and write the result in the Adjusted Net (ADJ NET) column. This score will be used to determine the Tournament Winners.

The Area 15 Handicapper will post your normal total score to NCGA.
Sandrifters Travel Outing Once monthly Travel Tournament
Scramble 1. All four team members tee off on each hole and then decide which tee shot they like best and mark the spot. The player who hit the selected drive, then can hit a practice shot, but his or her ball from the selected spot cannot be used. The best shot of the other three players is then selected and used. All four players can then play from the spot of the selected second shot and into the hole. This modification is to help to prevent one outstanding player from dominating the team performance and to make the tournament to be a team effort.

2. From selected shots, each player can place the ball within one club length, no closer to the hole. If the selected ball is in the rough, each player must play from the rough.

3. The team must select three drives of each of the A and B players and three combined from the C and D players on the team during the round. It does not matter what the par is for the three drives. Remember, when a player’s drive is used, his or her second shot cannot be used on that hole.

4. If a team has only three players, one player will play two shots, to take the place of the missing player. The three players must take turns hitting for the missing player, so over 18 holes, each of the three players must play for two players on a total of six holes.
Shamble All players tee off, play best drive with all playing a ball. One best net for the team score
Skins A match play format where each hole ("skin") is assigned a different point value and the golfer who wins the hole with the best net score outright wins the points for that hole.  In the event that two or more golfers tie (which is called "halving") on a hole, the skins carry over to the next hole.  In the event that two or more golfers halve the final hole, a puttoff (on the practice putting green) begins until one golfer wins a hole outright. (In a playoff that requires more than one playoff hole, if a player is not one of those that halve the playoff hole, he is eliminated—it is not "one tie, all tie".)

Points are awarded as follows:
Holes 1-6        25 points per hole
Holes 7-12     50 points per hole
Holes 13-17    70 points per hole
Hole 18        200 points (This is known as a "super skin".)

The total points is exactly 1,000

It's 18 holes divided into three segments.
On holes 1 thru 6 you play a two man scramble (must use three drives each).
On holes 7 thru 12 you play medal play and record the best ball (with handicap) as the team score.
On holes 13 thru 18 you play alternate shot (with alternate drives) If one of these holes is Closest To the Pin both drive to compete for CTP but use the alternate drive for scoring purposes.
Two man modified Stableford Two man teams earn points as follows:
      7 points for double eagle
      5 points for eagle
      3 points for birdie
      1 point for par
      0 points for bogie
     -3 points for double bogie
-5 points for score above double bogie

Count both peoples net score on hole.
    Example #1:  Player #1 Has Net par &  Player #2 has Net Birdie: 1 + 3 = 4 Team Points
    Example #2:  Player #1 has Net eagle & Player #2 has Net double bogey: 5 + (- 3) = 2 Team Points

Two man team - one best net First two and last two players on card are partners.
Record the lowest net from the team.
Vegas This is a two-man team format with cart partners as a team. Record your scores as you normally would for each player. On a Team Score line on your scorecard record the VEGAS score.

On each hole, mentally calculate the net score of each player. Combine the low net with the high net to form a two-digit number as follows:
If player A had a net 3, and player B had a net 6, then the Vegas score would be 36.
If player A had a net 5 and player B had a net 5, then the Vegas score would be 55.
If player A had a net 5 and player B had a net 4, then the Vegas score would be 45.

Low total for all holes for 18 holes will win.
For example, if you and your partner score net par on each hole, your total would be 792.

Remember to record each player’s actual score on the card so that we can enter your score into the NCGA handicap system.
